One thing to note about the NRC plots. I asked Ian about the low frequency performance of NRC's chamber and he said he doesn't believe it's accurate below 150Hz. Ian calibrates the low frequency measurements from Axiom's chamber on a per model basis using corrections derived in a 4pi environment.
I also asked about the high frequency behavior of the impedance curve which didn't look right to me. He said that could be the result of tweeter ferrofluid that wasn't up to temperature. I found that very interesting because those of you who have read my posts on here for the last 11 years know I've frequently observed my sound varying with temperature and couldn't put my finger on why.
As for the reported sensitivity, I don't know why that might be. It's 3dB lower than Axiom's spec.
I haven't heard the M5HP either, I know it's gonna sound great and I will eventually buy a pair once I make some room adjustments.

BTW, I'd bet my left nut the M5HP sounds better than Bryston's mini A but not the mini T. And I'd bet my other nut the mini T sounds better than any KEF, Polk, Klipsch or Paradigm bookshelf no matter what the price.

Define better? Have you seen the reference ones? Hard to say what better would mean for each of us. Why would you put your boys in jeopardy like that!

Better means they'd make my boys glow. I don't need my boys anymore. I just need soundstage width, depth and height along with linearity. I've seen them in photos.

The "boys" or the speakers? I wasn't sure about that last reference Moj.

I stopped believing most of A.H.s comments a while ago. To biased to their supporting partners.
They give the highest praise in their reviews, then turn around and bash at the same time.
In that link I came to a review of Bryston Middle T sure enough they went directly to bashing in comments. {Fake graphs\plot lines etc.}
Makes you wonder if they realize their favorite speakers were likely tested and developed in part in the famous Anechoic Chamber. Our dear Ian helped create.

Then last sentence of the review "In the meantime, Axiom Audio’s M5HP gets my unreserved recommendation."

Then last sentence of the review "In the meantime, Axiom Audio’s M5HP gets my unreserved recommendation." I missed that when I read the review the first time. What does he mean by that? His full statement reads: "Over the past few years I’ve spent a lot of time writing about speakers that cost well over $1000/pair. After spending time with the Axiom M5HP, I think I need to take Hans Wetzel’s lead and get back to what got me interested in audio in the first place: high-quality speakers and components that normal folks can aspire to own. In the meantime, Axiom Audio’s M5HP gets my unreserved recommendation."
