I have the Monoprice version which occasionally goes on sale for under $100. It has a tube preamp section and an AB solid state amp section. It is a great match for M3s! Sound is silly good! I've given a bunch away as presents paired with M3s. I did receive one which was DOA but at that price, who cares?

If mojo's link is from Prime Cables, it's likely a Monoprice amp. They're out of Montreal and good people to deal with.

LOL! I have a couple of rooms I'm not using currently and a few others I'm under-utilizing. Sure wish I could get rid of my bed and sleep on a bed of ADAs.  No, that can't be the transformer. Don't need a transformer that big.

Aw dang. When the say hybrid for this amp, I think the output stage is solid state. I thought hybrid meant the rectifier was solid state. I assumed because there are two sets of tubes, one is for the pre-amp and the other for the final stage. Silly me. I really do want to hear a tube amp. It might be cool for the office. It's been 35 years since I've heard and worked with tubes. I repaired a lot of tube radios and TVs back in high school. I even built my own amp back then from scrap gear but had no idea what to listen for. I want a real tube amp. Maybe I should build my own. I could use the gorgeously simple but oomphy linear power supply Andrew built for the ADA. But I need higher rails and more windings on that heavy donut. BTW, a tube amp doesn't offer higher fidelity. But I can understand how ear-brains might like it.

This thread is from a while ago that shows my 10 Tube setup that drive my M2s + 2X EP400s audio only system. The MC-100B is quite a brawny setup that weighs 60+ Lbs largely due to the four hefty power supply canisters. It is a dual mono design for genuine 2 channel separation. Sounds wonderful & heats my house at this time of year, ha!
