We played around with both bridged and not for the ADA1500 mono-block. In the end we decided on no bridging. All the numerous advantages to a mono-block design exist in both arrangements so it came down to which way would the use of the full dynamic power of the single power supply best be utilized. Bridging greatly increases the continuous power by halving the impedance seen at the amp but it does not change the available dynamic power. Since the continuous power of an ADA1500 is already way above the what would ever be required we decided the stability of the of the overall system would be better by not bridging.

M100s be damned! You all should come over and listen to the M5s in my basement. It don't matter what I use as an amp - the Onk, the 1000, the 1500, the Pioneer - it's all spectacular!! There is absolutely no way, NO WAY, those little beasts should be casting the surreal imaging and soundstage they are. I'm so damned fortunate. I thank the Sonic Gods at Axiom. I think if Ian hears them at my place, he'll double their price.

John was saying he liked his M5s better than his M60s. I think some don't want bookshelves due to stands. Maybe we need an M5HP floor-stander.

Ian says my version of the M5HP floor-stander would be very low sensitivity and that's why there are two 6.5" woofers in the M50 and M60. The AX5 had a single woofer but it was 10".

In the upward stair step of performance, an M60 HP would be a floorstanding M5HP.

John likes his m5s better than his m60s. The m5s image really well. It's too bad they have the 'nads of a gnat. You know...gnat 'nads.

I like the idea of the M5HP tower with the same internal volume. The bottom would be essentially a built in stand.
