Hey folks how ya all been? This will most likely be a call to Axiom on Monday but here I go. I recently noticed the overall bass in the theater room seemed different. I have 2 EP350v3 up front and an EP600 in the back.

Anyway, after troubleshooting I noticed nothing was coming out of one of my 350s. When sending the test white noise from my Anthem nothing. The Auto Sense switch normally goes green and stays red and then fades away to nothing. Even tried hooking it up to one of the other coax's for the other subs and nothing. Currently I have it unplugged and will try later.

Is there a fuse by the AC cord you can check?

Also make sure the wall plug works.

I don't see a fuse on the back of the amp, and yea the wall outlook works, the other sub is plugged into it...I did try a different one just to be sure.

The fuse would be right below the plug that the AC cord plugs into. You have to look real close. It should pop out if there is one.

yeah, just trying to figure out if it is a fuse or what, I see right below the plug it talks about 115 fuse and 230 but not sure I see a way to remove anything.

Yeah...there you go! Just push on the little icon that looks like a fuse and the tray should pop out exposing the fuse. BTW, glad you lived through your drunk fest.

T10AL fuse, man. Look at the ferrule real close to see if the element is open. Best to examine before beers.

hmmm, not seeing how this thing pops out. I'm pushed with my finger and end of screwdriver, and it seems to move a little, but don't want to damage plastic. I think I'm doing something wrong.

Fuse seems normal, compared to the one in the other 350 and seem to look the same.

I have a EMO A500 in my mix now that I moved to Atmos, lol

So the Auto Sensing switch stays red all the time. It normally is Red until it senses a signal and then turns Green. On the sub that works if I turn the switch off it stays green all the time. On this bad sub it is Red no matter what position.

Red no matter what is the secret code to upgrade to v4.

Just fired one off to her. She was helpful a year or so ago when I upgraded to Atmos and changed out some of my surrounds. The days of Alan, Brent, and others answering the weekend line are gone.

I'm having more fun than you, Randy. All my v4 gear is working impeccably and puts my v2 to shame. I've spent this afternoon listening to my M5s while throwing knives and axes.

Just a little update. I have been in contact with Axiom via email earlier this week. Still waiting on options from them; repair current amp, replace amp, or possible sub upgrade. Hope I hear back soon, need to enjoy movies..

Trade the 600 and 350s for 2 x 500v4. The v4 DSP subs now have the gut punch/'nad tickler switch.

Considering 2 EP500 upgrades for my EP350v3s.

You would get a lot more from the 500s I think. My old SVS PB1000 was drowned out when I originally got my M80s.

Randy, the over-all quality of my 800v4 is vastly superior to the 600v2. I expect that quality to be the same in the 500v4.

I treated my upgradeitis many years ago, don't want a relapse. I also love my M80Tis

Ok Randy. If you're happy with the Ti why would you want to move to v4 for a wider, deeper, holographic soundstage with higher fidelity and micro and macro dynamics across the entire audible band?

I have been upgrading to newer speakers for music playback but am still totally happy with my M60ti's for home theater.

Makes sense because as we know the types of fronts make no difference for movies.

It always makes a difference ... it's just that you have not tested your theory on any speakers lousy enough yet ... or found the right sound track to notice ...

I've tried M3, M50, M5, M100, M10s (stacked M5s), M8 (M3s stacked on M5s), M103s (M3s stacked on M100s) and M105s (M5s stacked on M100s). I tried a few minutes of Planet of the Apes on all of them and a few minutes of Game of Thrones both on Blu Ray. I admit it is *possible* there is an audible difference on another soundtrack.

Diana Krall still sounds sexy as hell with my M80s.

When I was still a HTIB guy, upgraded to the Monster XP. That 16 gauge was cool with those clip jacks.
The most important thing I found for HT is the front stage Timbre matching. I Wonder if the changes in generation are substantial enough to really notice.

I still have most of my 80s and 90s stuff in great condition: JVC Pro Logic AVR and tape deck, Pioneer 4way Loudspeakers, Sony turntable, lol

Regarding the timbre matching, I ran a 160v4 with dual M80v2 for a year. I found no discernible difference other than the fact the 160v4 was miles ahead of the 150v2.

I am of course exaggerating on 72 gauge wire as Blair already knows but I can't fit 16 gauge in there either. BTW, I have used 72 gauge wire in my career for ultra-linear magnetics.

My first pair of Axiom AX3's purchased in 1990ish had spring terminals that were fairly large. To get the 12 gauge I was using to fit required thin cable terminal ends be soldered to the cables.
