The 16 ga. cable and terminations measured 0.2 Ohms for the entire run. Peak current was 16.8 Amps.

That’s twice what I’d suspect for even 16AWG CCA. You’d have to go to almost 20 AWG to get there (and that’s the cheap CCA only 10% copper) ... the numbers just jumped out to me as being amusing. I’ll believe you ....
Just the picture of you cooking on it while listening to your favorite breakfast music was a good one. A sudden enlightenment to the Mojo volume obsession!

I guess some of the resistance might have been between cable and terminations. Older cable plus smaller contact area etc...
