Advertisement in Home Theater Magazine about a year ago. I looked them up on the web, and have been wanting them ever since!

After scouring my local (and regional) hi-fi shops, I was all set to get the Energy Take 5.2 system after an extended demo.

While researching various HT topics on the net, I ran across an online review (eCoustics.com, I believe) of Energy's Encore system... the one that was a bit "out of my league" price-wise ($1650 or so US from an authorized dealer). In this review, Axiom's Epic Mini system (it may even have been the Micro) compared rather favorably to it, and the reviewer offered his opinion that you would be hard-pressed to find significant performance differences between the two systems for their differences in price. As I'd never heard of Axiom, this caught my attention, and I followed the link to the Axiom site for a couple months of research and lurking on this forum.

I finally decided to give Axiom a try, and have been totally impressed with my system. For the money I was set to pay my local dealer for the Energy Take 5.2 system (plus tax and surround stands), I was able to get the Epic Master system plus the QS4 stands. As a novice to HT, I think I'd have been satisfied with the Take 5.2, but I feel I got more for my money with Axiom. I remember thinking that if the Epic Mini compared favorably with the Energy Encore, then any of the Axiom systems up to my budget limit would have me better off than if I paid through the nose for the Take 5.2 at my closest Energy dealer (50 miles away). As an added bonus, Axiom's customer/technical support is outstanding.

Decided I needed to replace my 15 year old speakers. Didn't like most of the crap at Circuit City.
Decided to search the web for speakers.
Got a hit about Axiom.
Started reading.... and reading.... and reading.
Considered the 22s, 40s and 50s.
Took a chance - ordered the 50s (wasn't so pleased)
Ordered the 60s - AAHHHHHH! Now that's what I call great sound!
The rest is history!

I read GoodSounds rave reviews of the M3Tis more than a year ago, and it sort of just percolated in my subconscious. I then bought a Merak MC6H center speaker with a 7"x3" horn tweeter and 2x6.5" drivers from uBid for $19. It just blew away my expensive Infinity CC3 center. Worse, the more I listened, the more I realized that it sounded better than my expensive Infinity Composition Overture 3 towers. When I found out that Axiom made Merak, what I had read about the M3s came bubbling up from the depths.

I picked up a pair of M3Tis and met the wonderful folks at Axiom (by phone), ordered a pair of nOrh monoblocks finally gave up waiting for them. Grabbed a cheap Technics SADX940, dusted off an old JVC carousel CDP hooked up the M3s and just about cried. These $220 speakers coupled with a receiver which cost me about $150 just absolutely blew away my Harman Kardon AVR65 Infinity system.

I had an epiphany. My Harman Kardon AVR65 all Infinity system was junk. I sold it. Picked up an Antique Sound Labs MGS1 15DT tube amp and Ah!4000 CDP and they just make the M3s sing.

I replaced the HK65 with an Onkyo 797THX, the Overture 3s with M50s, the Infinity RS3 sides with Merak MT66 towers and marvel at the improvement.

Anyway, sorry for the long story. Love the Axioms. Love the Axiom made Merak horn center channel speaker. Love the Michauras I've stumbled on as well.
