Well, I just replaced my shabby OEM floor mats in my 2000, Honda S2000 with 61,000 miles. They are beautiful black with red embroidered S2000 logos.

The S2000 is noticeably quicker now, and more importantly, the sound quality of the Alpine stereo has significantly improved.

9000 RPM is fun.

But, you have to be able to do the dance. Heel toe, rev matching, sequential downshifts so you don't accidentally mechanically over drive it and blow the engine.

Yes, sir Quack. It's a good looking car. Has a bit of the hammerhead going for it. Needs more torque down low and another 100 HP although between 6000 and 9000 rpm it's white hot.

Of course, I can't think of a car that doesn't need another 100 HP.

If my Mazda had 100 more horses, it would be leaving chunks of its rusted body behind.

Mazda saved the roadster from under-powered British efforts which would not start if it was damp out (Lucas electrics, Prince of Darkness). The Miata, a near perfect, simple, virtuous 2 seater.

Hey Phil, I have to ask - you may have covered this in our time together (18 years!) on this board - you seem to like the super tweeter, as you have equipped many of the speakers in your photo album with them.

What is up with that?

Mine was a 1981 280ZX Silver Manual transmission, loved thosed inline 6 cylinders. Had louvers on the back window from JC Whitney catalog.

Rarely see to many Datsun's here on the west coast anymore aside from the few collectors whom baby theirs. They've mostly rusted out from our constant wetness.

I'm a tweeker, can't help myself. When Radio Shack closed out their super tweeters, I bought all the local stock. I upgraded the caps with Solens which cost more than the blow-out price for the tweeters.

I used them with my M80s, M22s, and Klipsch Fortes. I think they helped. My dog could hear them. I decided not to use them with the Harbeths or the LFR1100 Actives.

The super tweeters came with a frequency plot (don't know if it bore any relation to the actual output) which was pretty flat up to 50 kHz. I don't think I can hear much over 12 kHz. Some say it helps with the harmonics in the audible range. I don't know.
