It's hard to believe but the new 160v4 is much more natural sounding than the previous 160v4. I also find I can push it louder and it still sounds terrific. I'm glad I upgraded.

No idea but we all know Axiom is constantly tweaking designs. Since I got my v4, I've suspected they're tweaking the MDF (HDF?) formulation to reduce resonances.
