We have a netflix 4k plan. Im wondering if the crave plans are comparable in audio or video quality.

Anyone using crave?

Is 4k HDR available? Atmos?

Thanks

720p with 1080p only via Apple TV. No Atmos; not even 5.1. Stereo only.

I have both, but I have not performed the in depth analysis you are looking for.

From a content perspective, they are both loaded with good, bad and "meh" level content.

Hi,
Like BBIBH, I have both. Bell offers dedicated 4K channels at extra cost, all sports as far as I'm aware (and its fiber optic 4K dvr box will record in 4K) I don't watch enough sports to make it worthwhile. I do have a 4K set, and some of the YouTube 4K short nature subjects, mostly of exotic nature (colorful parrots, macaws, etc) look spectacular.

As some of you already know, all 4K sets up-convert to their native resolution, but the up-conversion offers little to no enhancement. You really must have programming that originates in 4K to see the difference.

Hmmm. Seems like crave is a little behind. I might wait until it supports higher resolutions on more streaming platforms than apple tv.

Not looking to get back into a cable plan to stream cable box direct. Crazy that crave is even on offer at less than CATV resolution and sound these days.

I've never had cable TV. I grew up with rabbit ears, slides and audio tape, reel-to-reel films, Beta, VHS, DVD, Blu-ray. Nowadays it's YouTube, Netflix, Amazon.
