What do you mean by not just one but all drivers in that speaker?

All of the drivers on the front of the speaker in question appear to travel less than that of the other speaker. If it were a problem with over excursion I would expect to see the opposite.

Not sure if you’ve tried this or not but....Might be good to swap the speakers from left to right and rule out the amplifier or pre. It would confirm it’s the speaker / woofer if the issue travels. Then at least you know that much before making the trip to axiom.

Edit: I just re read the post. Seems the cerwin Vegas worked properly with amplifier. Might still be good to swap channels though and just see what you get.

It would be worth doing what Kodiak suggested.

If it's not the amp channel, it's quite possible the cross-over responsible for the front drivers has failed.

You can fix this problem by trading them in for the actives. laugh

I would love to go active. Someday I will but not today frown . I think I will try the switcheroo as Kodiak suggested and report.

There should not be any popping at any volume level. Even severe amp clipping should only get harsh sounding and force you to want to turn it down. If you isolate it to one of the drivers we can replace that for you no problem. If you want to bring them to the factory we could check everything for you. If it is going to take a while we can always loan you a pair of Actives in the meantime smile

I think my M2s are having some kind of problem that I can't describe. I might need actives on loan while you try to finger out my M2 woes. :p

Agreed Mojo. Good call. My refurbed m60ti need another refurbish. I’d be fine with M100s and a couple of ADA-1500-2. And yes it’s no problem if it it takes a while to refurb my m60s. I can wait 21 business days to get my m60s back. Axiom is the best.

You'd love the M100s in that room. They are so warm and full sounding.
