That cymbal was deep but it's even deeper now.

Edit: Not sure why but the link to the image is not working within my Windows Chrome browser. It works in Android Opera. Here's the link.

I found similar with strategically placed panels. Similar to the ones you have {built mine with wood frame stuffed tightly with thickest highest rated insulation Depot had}. A little extra work inside the panels to get insulation as far in or off wall as possible. Behind seating and first reflections made my stage expand immediately.
Now use a 6 foot book shelf all Blueray, books etc. on one side. Helps a lot with such trickery.

Yup. Trickery can work. I over-did it below though. When I added the panels over the fireplace, I lost spaciousness. The difference was very noticeable. Some of those louvered panels also shifted imaging. BTW, I made those panels from dollar store styroboard. laugh The big, bulky ones were Trevor's.

You can face typical broadband absorption panels with slat diffusers. Since the slats are free floating in front of the roxul they also add bass absorption through a pseudo membrane effect. Work very well and put the space back into absorber panels. Put them behind the fabric as well.

I will link plans later.

Sweet
Have been eyeing some of those type.
Haven't really gotten around to studying all the measurement relations. And theories on sizes placement of pieces etc.
Also thinking of building one of those diffusers from different lengths of wood some look really neat.

If you're ever too happy, listen to that tune. The cymbal is a great gauge of stage depth BTW.
