ha, that was a cool share. I wonder how long it will take apple or google to buy them out.

I really hope the following bit from the article was the author garbling information from the company; if not I would be checking to see if it was filed on April 1:
"The technology uses a 3-D sensing module and locates and tracks the ear position sending audio via ultrasonic waves to create sound pockets by the user’s ears."
It was probably supposed to say "tracks the ear position via ultrasonic waves (then) sending audio to create sound pockets by the users ears".
Makes you wonder what happens if there is more than one person in the room or you plus cat/dog... "the dog keeps jumping up behind my head then running away with the audio bubble".
The article and video suggests that the sound bubbles are fairly small, so presumably there must be quite a few audio drivers behind the covers.
The scary thing is that this was probably prototyped by a bored radar tech using the 6 megawatt phased-array radar (the original 'nad tickler) on an Aegis cruiser.

John, I don't know how ears are tracked but the audio is indeed "sent" ultrasonically. The carrier frequency is ultrasonic and is modulated with audio.
Edit: the only way I can see how to ear track is via optics and image recognition. Once located, distance has to be figured out and head-related transfer functions to steer the channel carriers to each ear.
Yup, many drivers. The more drivers, the greater the spatial resolution.
