Anyone looking for a great speaker on a budget just buy the M2 is blows away everything else, period. end. stop. I could write a long review talking about imaging and linear speakers and all that crap, but i'm not, I have all the speakers. i've tested then all. The M2 just does it. Its a slam dunk. i'm done. drop the mic.

So this is how I spend my Friday nights now...

LOL! You could have saved all that trouble, dude. What was the first advice I gave you for speakers? smile

I can't believe you put those old tweeters in the M80OW.

Looks like you put a v4 tweeter in an old M3?

Yeah, i've been Frankensteining some speakers, swapping drivers and tweeters. I do enjoy the bright sound of the Ti tweeters, not the older axioms tweeters, i've found those are too bright. I've also learned that some good EQ adjustments can make the v4 shine. The m100s are perfect just they way they come with the v4 tweeters, the m80s are perfect with the ti tweeters, imho. I'm sure many will disagree but to each their own. The best thing about Axiom is their willingness to work with customers, they shipped me a box of parts so I could play with my speakers even more. How can you beat that!

Regarding the M2, you were very right. I do now see the light, I was thinking that more money equaled better sound. The m2 with a little sub can knock anyones socks off, with a little eq adjustment, depending on your setup, I would put it up against anything. It's really shocking. I plan on getting more for surrounds, or the m2 on walls.

Like a kid in a candy shop. laugh

The M2OW sound like the M2 bookshelves but a touch lighter on bass. Cross them at 80Hz to the 600 and all will be well.

Some songs arent the same song at all without the lower octaves.

This song has strong energy down to 16hz to convey the pain and desperation and darkness of a one sided relationship. Not the same song at all without the heavy, brooding and writhing bass of utter despair. Almost feels like rage building near the end of the song.

Go ahead and try it. Super dark with the bass added.

The M5OW/dual 125 system just could not sort that tune out.

Downstairs, the actives and multi-subs gave me 180 degree wrap-around with high resolution across the entire spectrum.

I guess yeah...if you're gonna listen to stuff like this get actives. LOL!

You mean EP600. I see you've already traded the 600 for the 800 in your mind's eye. laugh
