Cam, I have mine set to large and running full band. I had it set at 80hz but room correction kept changing it back to full band and the more I have listened to it the more I like it. This is probably due to the speakers finally getting broke in.

So with my new Denon receiver, I cannot set the centre speaker two large unless I sent set the front speakers to large. I have always had the front left and right speakers on small so that the low frequencies are sent to the subwoofer. I don't recall this happening on other receivers that I had. Also if my front speakers are set too small, the only option I have with the centre speaker is either small or none. So do I set the left and right speakers to large and do something with the crossover? Thanks buddy

With the front speakers set to large, I cannot set individual crossovers for the front or centre speaker. I can only set a crossover for the surrounds which is at 80 Hertz. The front and centre speaker options are greyed out, and in the great out area for the front and centre speaker it says full band.

I'm running a Denon AVR as well. You should be able to change the crossover for each set of speakers. I know there is a setting that sets all speakers to the same crossover frequency. Make sure that setting is not on. I have my front towers to large also.

So there is an issue with the 180. I got it all set up, and noticed that the speaker is way more shiny than my other speakers. The 180 was order in boston cherry, to match my other speakers, but the 180 looks like it has a piano gloss finish. I do like the look way more than my other speakers that are quite honestly dull in comparison, but I don't like it paired with my other speakers because it looks out of place. Has this happened to anyone else? When I spoke to JC he said something like a couple years ago Axiom stopped using some type of finish (I can't remember what he said) and changed to real wood wraps (or whatever term he used). I thought that this was odd because the EP800 that I just got, has the exact same finish as my other speakers that are v1's. JC did email me a little later and said this - " The picture was examined by our person in charge of the finish and here is his comment . . .

Cherry will continue to darken. Plus two different boards may take stain differently. Nothing with the process or products used have changed."

Sooooo yeah....... should the newer speakers look like the 180, and Axiom did change the veneer, or did I get a glossy 180 by accident?

Here is the picture showing the difference, which is even more apparent in-person.

Dude, those are gnarly socks! And by some miracle, did you manage to stand up or are your feet just dangling?

Your Boston Cherry looks like mine. It's not glossy.

I think your 800 may be Boston Cherry vinyl. They are all wood now. I am sure the wood looks different than the vinyl.

If a speaker is set to large there is no crossover for that speaker so there is nothing to change. You have to set it to small in order to change the crossover.

Yup, my 800 is vinyl. JC said that they changed to all wood a couple years ago, and I purchased my 800 on September 12 2019. That is 1 1/2 years ago. When JC said that, I immediately thought well why isn't my 800 in wood to match. The colour difference is really annoying. I plan on upgrading my m80's at some point, and they'll be off-colour. I don't know but it makes me feel like I got a 800 that was one of the last batch of vinyl ones, even though the wood ones were available. I did get a deal on the 800, after all...

This just really sucks.

And LMFAO. For one, I can't and won't ever walk again, and second you won't ever see me wearing socks like that :-) .

Cam, the wood finishes came around September 2020 along with a price increase.

Just because you can't stand or walk, don't mean you can't treat your feet to gnarly socks. smile
