The look of this darker stain on walnut...REALLY catches my eye and *almost* makes me want to spend double the money(vs b-stock options) just to get it (for my future m100s) lol.
Anyone have some real world pics of it by chance other than what the website offers?
My qs10s and vp160v3 are in boston cherry tho
Ugh....the vp160 v4 is calling my name and i guess id just *suffer* with my rears not matching :p

I'll send you photos of my walnut bordeaux M5OW in wood veneer later. The M2OW in the photos below are vinyl walnut bordeaux. https://www.axiomaudio.com/boards/ubbthreads.php/galleries/435302/mojos-audio-insanity

The M2s were vinyl. My M5s are woodies. I'll post a pic later. I am busy working on AI right now.
P.S. My woodies still blush particularly in sunlight.

I preferred the natural walnut with the last two pairs of speakers that I ordered.

Cherry is red too. More of a cherry red than a bordeaux red. Stay away from walnut nutmeg. In the right light, it can be mistaken for a slice of orangutan.

They can do that when you order your active LFR1100s.

Axiom will make you samples. $25 USD a piece, but they're pretty nice; larger than I thought they'd be at 10.5 x 8 inches. They refund the purchase price when you buy speakers. They even come with magnets and a mini-grill, so you can try out different grill colors (but make sure you ask for the grill colors you want, they sent me 3 black grills).
Also, if it helps I have a Walnut Bordeaux (satin) sample that I'd be glad to send to you; I'm pretty sure I won't be getting that stain in the future. Although, it's more fun when you get a bunch of samples and line them up for comparison. I had my family rolling their eyes when I 'd randomly wander into the living room to check out the colors in various lights and times of day.

Why am I spending all this money on speakers when I can just buy the gorgeous finishes and screw them to my walls?

Well, I'm glad I caught you in time Mojo.
Since I can't decide on a wood an stain, I'm just going to get one of each sample and glue them all together for a speaker smorgasbord.
Seriously though, I'm glad I got them. I was definitely going with cherry chestnut until I saw how both dark it was and unevenly it spread (light patches and very dark patches); then I went with cherry bordeaux. But seeing them all in all the different lights and angles was worth the step. Of course, in your case you do the same thing with actual speakers, so ... never mind.

Walnut, Bordeaux, semi-gloss finish. The finish is really nice, organized setup. I'm sure that rug helps with reflections. If i had more time in Whitehorse in late 2019 i had thought about mountain hopping over to the northern neighbor but then i picked up a stomach bug. I just can't get used to or like that orange tone though. I was thinking about colours for awhile with our impending speaker switchover from the vinyl wraps and i'm not sure i would go forward with the Boston Cherry. It looks a lot more orange than the vinyl wrap but some other finishes are way too red. The natural walnut is nice but only in the right light. Some light makes it look orangey. [sigh] [/sigh]

I also have the walnut caramel and walnut espresso. Those might be more up your alley.

Just keep in mind that with digital photos, color tone will vary. I can grab any one of these photos and make them look different by adjusting white balance. For the pics I just posted, I used my phone and let it do all the work. They look slightly different to me in person than what I see on this website. I have a couple other walnut speakers with different colors. I'll shoot them later and post pics.
The rug definitely helped with room acoustics.

When you consider finishes, also think about how you may want to dress your speakers up. The OW may look very nice with a bow tie just below the tweeter. A cowboy hat and gun belt can lend a rugged look to floor-standers. Purple tutus on Mzeros say "Handle with care".
