Hi Folks,
I am setting up my home theatre from scratch after a fire burnt up my old set up( My wife and I escaped with minor burns) . Since then I have moved from an apartment to a home.

I started out with the TV and DVD player. For TV, I chose the Sony KV32FS100. Now only after I got it home, I noticed that the top is not flat unlike my earlier Panasonic. The TV top arches back and I cannot even balance a remote on it let alone a center channel. Unfortunately, I dont have space in the TV cart underneath as well, which has a glass door for the receiver with shelves at sides for DVDS etc.

Now, I am contemplating a M60,VP150,QS4 combo for my HT.

My question for all you VP150/VP100 owners is:

1) Where are you placing your center channel and how ?

2) Is there any special flat-top attachments available that I can fit on top of TV ? Coz I notice it has about 5 grooves running along its length in the back.

3) Are there any spl. TV stands with center channel placement slot ? If so then I can change my TV cart

4) Worst case, If I have to switch my TV, how long and deep is the VP150 ? Can a 32" flat screen TV take its weight on top ?

thanks
Sridhar

1,2,3. Your best solution may be to purchase a center-channel speakers stand.

4. Any flat screen tv will not be thick enough to hold a center channel speaker.

go here and here for a nice aray of rack and stand options.. being that i am not familiar with your brand of TV, i cant make any particular recommendation. but, if you explore those websites, i am sure you will find something to fit your needs.

Another option, depending on how close your tv is to the wall, is to put a shelf immediately above the tv and sit the 150 on that. If none of these ideas work and you really like that tv, (and are handy) you might be able to build yourself a flat-top attachment of some sort.

If you note, the Axiom listening room has a VP150 placed behind the tv, mounted on the wall with a full metal bracket.
I believe it works quite well for them.
