I bought enough speaker wire from Home Depot and enough banana plugs to bi wire my front 80Ti speakers, but:

What is the point of bi wiring? lol

Does it make a difference if I am just going from my receiver, a Yamaha RX-V2400, to the speakers (I dont have any stand alone amps, and I have no plans to buy any, as my HT is already running more than I estimated for cost)?

There are connectors on the receiver to bi wire the speakers.

In the receiver manual it shows the top binding post wires on the speaker going to the bottom binding posts on the receiver. Why does it matter whether I put the wires on the top or bottom binding posts, as long as I dont confuse the appropriate L/R pairs?

I guess this goes back to the first question, or what bi-wiring does, lol.
