With my HTR-2 remote, I haven't even gotten to the point of troubleshooting timing issues. It simply won't turn on my DVD player from a macro. I haven't gone far past that point, since I have my other universal remote up and running with the whole system (including the new NAD).

Is that similar to what you're seeing, Spock?

That said, it's interesting to note that the HTR-2 uses 1-second pauses between macro commands. That's all that's avaialable. Timing issues are less likely with a delay that long, but you'll also have to put up with a pretty lengthy macros if you like to get fancy with them.
