I own a Pioneer 563A and I noticed while listening to a DVD movie there is no sound coming from the left surround, but I know that the speaker is hooked up since it works in 5 channel stereo. This seems to be odd. Anyone had any ideas?

Are you using the toslink for your DVD movies? I have the same player. I had strange problems with mine too. I learned not to play with the settings while the receiver was on otherwise it would "freak" out my receiver. I'll ponder this question and see if I can think of anything.

Good luck!

As Roseanne Rosannadanna used to say, "nevermind." I played around with the analog cables at the back of my receiver while listening to a SACD and now the QS8 works again. It's probably a faulty cable. The Who rocks, once again! Darn Yammie won't die! I was kind of hoping that it had.
