Hello. I have heard the M40Ti but have not heard the M50Ti. While I liked the M40 very much, I wondered if the M50 would be worth the additional cost. Also, I do prefer the M40's slightly smaller size. I am mainly interested in the difference in bass between the two. I feel that the M40 responds very well when the source material has high bass content, but it doesn't add a lot of "weight" to ordinary orchestral recordings. I'm wondering if the M50 would convey that weightiness better.

I would highly suggest the M50s for what you are looking to achieve. They are only slightly larger in size and the extra woofer will give you what you are looking for along with a higher overall output capability.
