Ok, let me explain the layout of my room first.
There are 2 places that i can place the rear speakers I'll try to show it with some ascii art (: its not working right with the ascii art. So just pretend that the . aren't there and that the right wall is ligned up (: sorry about that, i just can't get it to work in the post hehe
Also that thing in between the 1's is supposed to be a couch (:

so position 1 or 2. position 1 is almost directly in line with the heads of sitting people. Although its above their heads. Like at the ceiling lvl, and position 2 would be further behind the people sitting at the couch and would be about a foot lower. See there is a large heating vent that runs across my basement and i will be hanging the speakers eithe rin front of it below the ceiling or in back of it below the vent.

Opinions? These will be Qs4's

Thanks in advance.

They are very flexible for placement but I find you get the most seamless wrap around effect when they are to your immediately left and right, about a foot or two above ear level.

well i don't have the room for them to be a foot or two above ear level, they are either 4 feet above seated ear lvl and directly above tot he left, like ligned up with the ear.
or further behind the heads by about 4 feet and a foot lower then the other position.

I have to work within the restraints of my room here. I guess i will just have to test it out and see. I just hope i can mount them easily ):
