I am looking for a set of 5.1 (or 6.1) for a new HT room. It will have a front projector. The room dimensions are 9.5'x 14.6. Entry is on the short wall with a closet 30" deep running the length of the short wall excepting the door entry. Thus the room with the closet doors shut is only 12' deep. Due to the narrow wall which will be covered mostly by a screen, I will only have 17" to 20" in each side for main speaker placement. The mains will need to be placed very close to the side walls or they could be mounted above/or below the screen.
With all those obstacles to overcome, what combination of Axiom speakers would you think would work out best.
Thanks

Ken, I'd definitely suggest the use of a M22 placed vertically below the screen as a center. With a front projection screen this is an ideal setup. In your modestly sized room M22s should also serve well as the mains, although you probably have enough room for M60s if they're within your budget. You need about 8' of separation for them, so they should be outside the screen area. QS4s should be plenty for side surrounds and with the lack of space behind the sitting position, back surrounds for 6.1 or 7.1 would be of little advantage.

kenr,
I have to differ slightly from JohnK's idea.
In total, i would recommend a setup of M22s for mains and possibly the VP100 or VP150 as a centre. Surrounds (and rears if you wish) i would go with the QS4s as JohnK suggested.
Your room is quite small and M60s are simply too large. At the present time our HT room is about 14x15 with some open sections to other parts of the house and the M60s BARELY fit into the room with a 50" tv to provide a proper soundstage. They do need at least 8 feet (or more) apart to get the soundstage right.
Anything smaller and you might get frustrated trying to work out the kinks in speaker placement. The smaller, but very similar sounding M22s would be a better idea IMO.
Any of the Axiom subs would suit this room just perfect. A larger SVS would be overkill but the Hsu offerings may also be appealing.

Have you called the Axiom folks yet? They will offer pretty good advice here.
