I've asked a couple of questions about mounting my M22ti's on the wall, but now have a new one.

With the new configuration, the size of the speakers would hang down over a door if I mounted them vertically. Has anyone tried mounting them horizontally? How did it affect sound quality?

They'll be about 12' apart, and 7' high, with the sectional sofa about 15' - 17' away. So I'm assuming I'll have them tilted slightly downwards and inwards. Can't put them on stands because of location of doors, etc. If I use omnimount 20s I'll only get 3" - 5" of clearance behind the back port.

Any thoughts on issues related with this placement?

Thanks,
Rich

I know a guy, who shall remain nameless, who not only mounted them horizontally, he mounted them horizontally INSIDE a home entertainment center. He said they sounded fine. I think he's nuts! I'd avoid it if at all humanly possible. Just my opinion.
