Me, I'm buying a new car next time. Long ass warranty, free maintenance, here I come! Too much trouble with the used '94 Volvo 850 Turbo Sportswagon. But I do really like it...

I ain't posting pictures because the exterior is in pretty bad shape... driving for work every day and parking all over the Bay Area will do that to a car.

Yeah, that was my thoughts when in 2002 I needed a new car. I bought a Chrysler Intrepid, which still has warranty. It is built locally (Brampton) and has been a great car!.

Unfortunately the warranty is up on my pride and joy - a 1955 Studebaker Champion, also made locally (Hamilton).

Come to think about it, the warranty was up long before I was born!!!

2x6- well, not everyone in texas drives a truck, but pretty dang close..

speaking of 'granny' cars.. i had a 1963 chevrolet bel-air station wagon for a few years. now, it looked granny, but it had a 327 star-fire motor, with a holley 4-barrel and dual exhaust. everything on that car was metal, and i cant remember what it weighed, but that car could get up and move. i could smoke out the tires from a dead stop, and when those 4 barrels opened up, it was a lovely sound. i was always a little scared to really get it up to top speed, cause it handled like a tamk. it would sway and pitch real bad, and those drum brakes would take several miles to bring it to a complete stop. not a comforting feeling when you are closing up fast on a stopped car.

the coolest thing about that car was the back hatch seat. it had one of those roll down windows in the rear, and the back seat could be folded down, but when pulled up, it was a rear facing seat. so, i would let other people drive the car, and just sit in the back, facing the on coming cars and watch the world streak by.. good memories

2x6, in 2000 (back in the day) I bought a used '97 Nissan Maxima SE 5-spd from iMotors, online. It's fully loaded, even has butt-warmers and a Bose sound system!!!

It's my second car, and fully paid for, I might add. My previous car was an '88 Honda Civic that I got from my sister for free. All I had to do was fly out to Omaha to pick it up.

1955 Studebaker, especially the coupe, is one of the most beautiful cars ever made. The Studebaker President Speedster coupe was an awesome car in its day.



The Chevy 327 is one of my favorite engines of all.

Well, pmb, your politics may be all messed up, but your taste in cars is just fine. 5 speed SE, a very quick, very tight, luxury sedan. Nice choice.

1996 Honda Accord LX 5 speed. Paid for.

Wife works for a Mazda Dealership...she drives a demo...usually a van or Tribute. Still have not persuaded her to bring home an RX-8 yet.

I have a yearning for one of the new Mini's...my father-in-law had one of the originals with the 12" tires (think Mr. Bean's car). And to think they just came out with a convertible...

Dream car: 1969 Ford Mustang GT

Hated to get rid of my '66 (six banger and all) but got real tired of putting alternators, voltage regulators and batteries in it...could not find the issue and could not afford the wiring harness redo...

Ah, to dream...

2x6, I looked at the prior model of the TL extensively and briefly looked at the RL. It seems the TL is more car for the money - with a more roomier interior and more HP. That may have changed though, eh?
I thought the Infiniti G35 sedan was an awesome little ride. The Lincoln LS with a V8 and black leather was very, very impressive - big discounts on them right now, too. I thought the X Type and S Type Jags were pathetic and disappointing respectively.

I had to give up my toy when the kids starting coming. A 1971 Trans Am 455HO 4 speed. To many upgrades to list but instead of just burning rubber leaving a light, I could do one better. I could lift the front wheels from a dead stop. Anyway, wife said the muscle car had to go so I sold it..........but she let me keep my truck. 1985 Chevy Silverado that was loaded and was mildly bored out and a few other things. For a truck, it went not to bad. Sold it last year as it was just to heavy on gas. I had no real speed toys for years until she cut me a little slack a few years back at which time I went from 4 wheel muscle to 2 wheel muscle. A Ducati 955. Had it for a little over 2 years and it's a blast!!!!!

I'm still on the hunt for a 69 SS Camaro to restore but so far no luck.

Ola furrer, the new Mustang GT has looks inspired by the 69 GT but with underpinnings based on the Lincoln LS.

The last generation TL was an awesome value, and the 260 HP CL-S 6 speed coupe with its helical limited slip diff was an awesome performer, but the new TL 6 speed sedan with 270 HP and standard features which shame just about any other car out there elevated my pulse.

I like the Lincoln LS V8 but no manual trannie. I think the X Type Jag is a joke, and although I think the S Type is good looking, it just doesn't do it for me.

1996 Accord 5 speed is a great car. Motor Trend comments about the new v6 Accord that it may be the perfect family sedan, 0-60 in 6.5 seconds, 14.9 through the 1/4, taut handling and luxurious interior, the Accord is tough to top. But the 96 4 cylinder 5 speed was a frisky ride, quick, excellent handling qualities, luxurious but simple, with that Honda low cowl and perfect seating position for driver.

I forgot about the new Mustang - that looks pretty good. But if it has those dummy rear brake vents, I ain't buying.

What about the G35? We test drove the sedan and were pretty impressed. The coupe is downright drool-inspiring.
