 How to build a driver?

Does anyone have any info or links or books you could point me in the direction of that will show me how to make a speaker, not the box you put the divers in but an actual driver.

This begs the question Why?
Are you just interested in the construction of the driver, or do you really want to attempt to build your own drivers?

The driver itself is a simple design, building one at home is another subject. I don't know of anyone that has tried this nor have I ever come across plans for a DYI project. There are several fundamental problems of creating the assembly that would preclude this from a home kit.
