well,my sony pre-amp output section seems to have siht the bed,so i am going to pick up a inexpensive av receiver with pre-amp outs to run with my marantz amp while i decide if my sony is worth fixing or its just time to replace it with something more up to date...the two receivers i narrowed it down to are the denon 484 and the yamaha rxv-450. does anyone have either one of the two as a stand alone or use as a pre-amp?eventualy it will be used in my kids play room,or if either one sounds good enough may even stay on my system-any pros and cons on either one(remote sucks-not enough parameter controll stuff like that)is greatly appreceiated(did i spell that wrong?)thanks.....ron
