I have a question: I am looking at the NHT 2.9s and the M80s! Money is not really an object, so I am looking for a great, full sound and have a custom build subwoofer (bass is NO issue). I designed it very well (I am an Electrical engineer) to hit 18hz no problem! Just wanted to see what Ian thought about the presence and the sound. BTW, I have the outlaw 750 amp (165w x 5) and currently have upper level jbl's!

This not a comparison I have done so I cannot comment on the 2.9s, sorry. As for the M80s they would be a great match for this kind of power and what sounds like a concert hall sub-woofer. The M80s are really designed for your kind of system.
