My m50ti's arrived today at 12:32 pm. I kept looking out the window for the fedex truck to arrive. I, of course, didn't see the truck arrive but got to the window just as the drive threw I mean dropped a box onto his dolly. I jerked the window open and started yelling at him to just wait!! I live on the 3rd floor so by the time I got down there he already had the other box off the truck. It was pouring down rain and I'm barefoot with a tee shirt on. I give the guy a dirty look while examining the boxes. They looked fine so I signed for em in the street. Took em upstairs..Man these things are heavy. Was very worried about the speakers till I opened the first box to see thay were double boxed...This is where I started grinnin.

Took the first one out.. Grin...Jeez it's huge. Set em both up..Grinnin hard now. Mind you I've never heard axioms before. Grin.. Man much better than I expected and I was expecting alot. I had no idea what to play first so I just turned on the denon and watched so movies on digital cable. Ummm What the hey. These sound better in stereo than my old system in 5.1.

Oh yeah these were factory seconds. I haven't found a blemish yet.

My only problem with these speakers is I had to leave them home alone and go to work. This made me sick so I took off work tommarrow..Grins

Thank you to all who answered all my questions and give such knowledgable advice. You guys made this a much less
stressful experience and I for one really appreciate it.

Now to start saving for the rest of the set.

Leaf

Congrats leaf. You ran outside in the pouring rain, barefoot with just a teeshirt on? That explains the "dirty look" you gave him. haha just kidding. Enjoy your new speaks. Richeydog

Leaf, good deal, enjoy, I had quite the FEDX experience, so I can relate. The guy was a fill-in driver, I live at ### north st, the exact ### south st. exists. The mail gets screwed up sometimes. Keep in mind I have been waiting with the same anxioty. Axiom had the address right, but he delivered on the "wrong" side of town, FEDX shows online that they were signed for, I go down there, suspecting this MAY have happened, this lady is about 102 years old, and she's got my 5 speakers, still boxed thank god in her house, any how, she was cool, as much as she could have been, she said "if someone brought big stuff to your house, wouldn't you sign for it???? it doesn't cost me a thing" Well I was p.o.ed at FEDX, but it all worked out.

In Texas, welp means "OK" or "well" or possibly raised skin from a whip or a belt.
Used in a sentence.......WELP, my girlfriend moseyed on over here with a big ole bull whip and said she was fixin to put a big ole WELP on my butt.

My FedEx experience was great. The driver called my cell phone 20 minutes before she was goin to be in my complex. I drive from work to meet her. She is backing in to my building drive way just as I arrive. I get out and offer to help. Best driver Ive ever seen for a delivery service (not physically). She slides them down the rear of the truck and places them on the ground. I carry the first M60 up and she follows with VP150. She waits at the door while i scoot the first speaker inside....same with the second trip up the 3 flights....she waits at the door with the two QS8s....i sign and inspect the boxes. Both M60s have a puncture about 1/4 way up but only through the first box. A week later i get to set them up and WOW...Im going through all my CDs playing them on DPIIx...great sounds! my .02

Glad to hear they're safe!

I was at co-op (work) when mine arrived. I've always been pretty happy with FedEx and Puralator especially... UPS can go die....

Anyways, I get a call at work:

*ring*
Me: IMSS Sean, Sean speaking, how can I help you?
Caller: You suck.
Me: Excuse me?
Caller: I hate you and you suck
Me: *starting to recgonize my sisters voice* um why?
Her: Your speakers came...and they're HUGE BOXES ALMOST AS TALL AS ME!
Me: sweet, I'll be home in a few hours
Her: I hate you *click*

^_^...granted I had to wait a week to set them up as me and dad had to write my room up....

Same thing happened with my subwoofer.. Dad was away on business, I frantically called around trying to find someone to help me... No way was I going to lift a 140lb (unpacked) subwoofer down to the basement... My friend Keith came over, we muscled it downstairs, put its feet on, and hooked it up... UNCALIBRATED SUB = DEATH... the bass was so extreme it actually caused me pain.... so once I Muffled the Monster down all was good...

glad to hear you're having fun leaf... and PICS!
