Imagine, three pair's of M80's for the left, centre, and the right channels of your home theatre. I call them, the M160's. Envision three M80's across the front of your home theatre setup, then take three more m80's and invert and place them directly on top of the first three.
I have not picked the surrounds or subwoofer yet, i'm trying to come up with different ideas. Maybe QS80's?( replace the 5.25" with 6.5" woofer, enlarge the tweeter baffle to install the 5.25"midrange with it. And for the sub, how about the monster 15" that Ian and the boys are working on!

As cool as that sounds, I'd be pissed off having just dropped $2500 on speakers...

They are very cool, I will post some photos when I get a chance, may be this evening. Seriously, what do you think of the idea of the QS80's?? and the 15" sub?

Rick,careful when you stack those 6 M80s to create your M160s. A setup like that might literally "blow you away". Add a 15" Axiom sub(or two)and it's guaranteed.

A bit more seriously, the surrounds don't really need outstanding low bass if they're set "small" so that the sub or mains are mostly responsible for it. So, the QS8s are plenty and the QS80s really wouldn't be needed. Of course, if you wanted to run everything full-range, you could get 4 more M80s for the side and rear surrounds in a 7.1 setup.

I would love to have bought the other 2, 6'7" speakers from Ian for the surround , however; I would like to keep some room for the seating, also I would like to set the system up for 7.1. So I thought about a more powerful, fuller range wall mount side and back speaker. (QS80?). And when the 15" is ready for sale, I will have a corner or two for it.

It sounds cool and it should look awesome. But how much sound can one's home theater hold? Stack of M80's could be an overkill.

Redesign of M80's (can it still be improved?) could be a better option. I like the 15" sub idea and make it handle 16hz for effect. That would be a WOW!

I use these speakers for home theatre only, and sit in the same spot. It did take a while to set up and now they do sound amazing.
