I have the M3Ti's as L&R mains. I am working on selecting a sub to match them. I would like some input from the experts here on how / where to cross the M3Ti's over to the sub.

Assuming that I dial the sub's low-pass filter all the way to the right (i.e. to its highest cut-off, moving its effect out of the equation to the extent possible), where do you suggest setting the receiver's LFE cross-over?

Assume that the receiver can cross-over at any selected frequency, to avoid sub-optimizing.

Curt, even if your receiver provides a choice of crossover frequencies, I think that it's unlikely that anything other than the commonly suggested 80hz will work better with the M3s.

With my Mirage Bipolar 8" sub and M22Ti its produces best music and movie sound at about 80hz. I tried putting it up and down and compromised either one. And more than halfway point on the level I noticed unwanted low frequencies and my neighbor knocking at the other side of the wall.

But what I noticed was that I set the crossover setting on my Rotel receiver to off rather than 80hz. I then set my sub to 80hz. THe reason for this is that my reciever took a lot of the lower frequencies off the M22Ti. It actually sounded better with the full spectrum of sound going through the M22Ti. The sub layered over sound frequencies from 80Hz to a nice low of 22Hz.
