Omnipolar surround, I might be a newbie to HT but these cannot sound good in a 5.1 setup. Has anyone had a chance to hear them?

The Soundstage guys seem to pretty high on them. I can't imagine they would sound very good with stereo music...but remember that surround speakers are meant to provide ambient, diffuse sound effects (like birds chirping, airplane fly-overs, crowds). I haven't heard the Omnipolars, but considering how Quadpoles create a MUCH more 3-D surround effect than direct radiators do, omnisats might be worth an audition.

I was thinking as surrounds they may be nice but as fronts and center, hmm... Maybe they are worth auditioning, I know Tweeter has them in their auditioning room here. Thanks!
