going to my wifes parents house for dinner tomorrow. shannons mom cant cook very well, so i have no idea what we are going to eat. we are bringing a ham, and sweet potatoes, so i know that will be good.

her parents just bought a new DLP/HD big screen. so i am looking forward to watching the cowboys on it. hope they can win this week.

And to you as well. I'm heading over to my girlfriend's house tomorrow, but I'll be cooking a little tonight. The potential for disaster is enormous since I find microwaving frozen dinners a bit of a challenge. She and some of her family are coming over, and I'll be doing well not to gain 12 pounds by tomorrow afternoon.

Everyone drive safely, play nice, and have a great time.

This year is gonna be a little stressful.
I'm driving to Amarillo with the new girlfriend and her two children who are going to meet the parents for the 1st time.
I know it doesnt sound like a big woop, but my mother (bless her heart) has NOOOOO TACT whatsoever, but my dad usually makes up for that.
Also its the first time I've ever been on a road trip (5.5 hours) with a baby (1 year old).
Hopefully all goes well.

And the best of the holidays to all of you. We wil be joining our extended family (my younger daughter's in-laws) and my older daughter is airborn to get here as I type this. The in-law family is large and they are hunters, (deer season is in full swing) so we will lay waste to a couple of turkeys and a small herd of deer. I've got to be careful since I'm only seven pounds away from having my own zip code

bigjohn - I've seen your picture, so don't try and convince us that Shannon doesn't cook very well!!!

oh, shannon cooks just fine.. its her mom that cant cook....her mom is so inept, she told us if we wanted tea, to bring it ourselves cause she doesnt know how to make it......? TEA!!!!! are you kidding me..

shannon is making her sweet potato casserole and pineapple glazed ham.. if all else fails, i at least know that will be good.. oh, and the tea we are bringing...
