Hi,
I would like to make a suggestion on the speaker grille holder for the QS8. I notice the grilled holder on the QS8 that is covering the woofers are made of hard plastic and looks very fragile. If they were the same as the EP350 or M60 grille holder, I wouldn't have any problems.
Unfortunately, they're not the same as the EP350 or M60 grille holder and they break easily, at least in my case. They probably broke during shipment when the speakers are moving/sliding around a little bit on the styrofoam.

Suggestion:
Change the grille holder on the QS8 to the same type found on the EP350 or M60.

Thanks!

Yep, all but one grill on one of my 4 QS8s had some or all of the holders broken.

I'm waiting to hear how they can be repaired.

Hopefully you're correct. I really don't want to send them back. :-(

Update:
Well, I emailed Axiom Audio and they sent me a new QSS8 speaker along with shipping label to return the damage unit. Just my luck, the replacement unit also had a broken grille holder and I was sent another replacement unit with another shipping label to return the damage replacement unit.

I finally got a unit that was in perfect condition! Just waiting for my Pioneer 56TXi receiver to come in on Tuesday.

I asked if the grille holder can be replace by me if they just sent me the parts I need. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it. I'm guessing the grille holder are glue on. If they were screw on like a tap screw, that would've been so much easier to fix it.

BTW, Axiom Audio customer service was EXCELLENT and took care of it very fast!!! Email goes out Sunday and exactly three days later, Wednesday, a new speaker arrives at my door, everytime. Mrs. Colquhoun took care of the problem herself.
