I'll play!

I have never heard of a tree lawn. (born and raised in Southern California, now live in the Bay Area (not technically Northern California, at least if you ask those folks in Redding.))

I call soda soda, but usually I refer to it by brand name; eg, if I want a Coca-Cola, I'll ask for a Coke. Brand names are NOT interchangeable. If I feel the beverage is, I'll ask for the type of soda; eg a lemon-lime soda. Not that I would ever ask for one of those foul things.

On the West thing, I've noticed it most in country songs, where they talk about going "out west" incessantly. They seem to consider Texas out west, because let me tell you, San Francisco has no "wide open spaces." (yes, I'll admit it, I have grown to like the Dixie Chicks, although I can't stand most other country music, except the real stuff.)

OH BUZZ OFF CURTIS! It's 38 here today. A veritable heat wave (anything above freezing is considered a heat wave).

Consider yourself lucky that Craig ISN'T having his GTG on February 1st. You would have been an unhappy camper..................................................................a FROZEN unhappy camper.

hehehehe.....

My Cleveland native GF is going back tonight....she said a nice snowstorm is suppose to greet her.

We just had breakfast in the sun this morning in Santa Monica. Towards the end of the meal I was even beginning to sweat.

Craig's GTG should be fun....I hope there is a wide variety of stuff there.

Oh YOU BUZZ OFF TOO, JOHN.

Curtis, according to Weather.com we're looking at 7 to 13 inches over the next 24 to 36 hours. Pain in the A$$. Hope your lady friend brings her boots. I assume she's comin' home for Christmas? Nice. I'm sorry she won't be there with you, but I'm happy when family's are together for Christmas. Speaking of that. Have a peaceful, fulfilling one.

High tomorrow is supposed to be 10 (yes, 10F), with wind chill a bit below 0F. For the first time in years, the weather is actually what people EXPECT from Canada, normally it's warmer in Toronto than in the northern US.

Oh pooh. Low tonight -8, wind chill -26. Supposed to be pouring the foundation for my new house on Tuesday AM. Think we'll wait for better weather or we're gonna have to build a shelter around the foundation to keep it warm for a few days.

Can I bring my foundation down to where it's 34 ? That seems pretty toasty right now.

I thought the 7F with wind chill of -16 was bad last night. The dog seemed to like it though. He had never seen snow, which we got not even an inch of, but he must like it. A couple of times he just wanted to stop walking and either sit or lay down in it.
