I saw that SRS link. That feature does not show up in the Denon AVR-3805 spec sheet. This is what the spec sheet shows:
Surround Formats: Dolby Digital Surround EX, Pro Logic IIx (Cinema, Music and Game Modes), dts ES Discrete 6.1 and Matrix 6.1, dts Neo:6, dts ES 96/24, HDCD

I know, I just brought it up ‘cuz I was intrigued by Alan’s article I wanted to try ProLogicII. But I have a relatively old receiver, Denon avr3300. It doest have ProLogicII, however my DVD player, a denon2200 has that SRSTruSurround and I was not sure what it was.

I'm trying out PL2 for the first time this morning while wathching a movie. The car crashes on final destination 2 sounded really COOL. I agree that it is quite a step up from PL. I had a pre-dts Pioneer receiver with PL which was really a waste. This is quite another story.
