I NEVER, NEVER expect to see Roseanne naked and have actually hired a personal "vision tester" to look at everything I will look at before I do, to assure that Roseanne will NOT appear in my field of vision. The expense of this personal assistant has caused a home budget revamping and we only eat twice per week now, but the sacrifice is well worth making my field of vision a "Roseanne free" zone. (shudder!!!)

Hey Big John, you just reminded me of something. I saw a guy the other day with a t-shirt that said:

Gun Owners Of America
We Don't Compromise, You Shouldn't Either.
If guns kill people, then.....
-Pencils miss spel words.
-Cars make people drive drunk.
-Spoons made Rosie O'Donnell fat.

Hi all,

New Axiom metal stands for the M22s and other bookshelf models are on the way--quite stylish, very stable (easily filled with lead shot) and with a wire management and clamping system to hold the M22ti to its pedestal without marring the finish. And the metal pedestal is the same shape as the base of the M22, M2 and M3.

I was playing with the prototype yesterday (I have to write assembly instructions) but we're looking at the end of January for availability. No news yet on pricing except that they will cost more (quite a bit more) than the old econo models. But the metal stands are much nicer and easier to assemble.

In the interim there are other good stands available at the web sites mentioned in this thread.

Very cool.

With the new subs, new stands, and pricey clothing line...is Axiom trying to move up market? What's next? Real wood veneers?

spiritride,
I received my m22Ti's today and the Axiom 24" speaker stands as well. I like the stands. Easy setup (4 screws each), look nice. Color is jet black. Substrate appears to be MDF or HDF (plenty strong). Veneer is hard plastic (sorta textured formica-ish)--easy to clean with a damp cloth; high quality. Top shelf is m22 shaped (about an inch smaller all the way round). Upright has predrilled channel with a port top & bottom to accept speaker wire. (I run 8 gauge, however, which is too thick for the channel; but 10 gauge looks like it will fit and anything thinner will easily fit.) The bottom piece is a nice size (not too big, not too small; couple inches larger than the m22's footprint). Base comes with rubber feet and spikes (your choice). The one drawback to the current design is that there's no obvious way to secure the speaker to the stand (the speaker just stands there, so to speak). Apparently the new ones coming in late January have addressed this.
