Looking for Mits 62825, Denon 3805. Seems internet prices are significantly cheaper than stores ie. Best Buy. Any great recommendations for a reliable internet supplier?

Jerry,

Welcome. A couple of thoughts. If you are looking to buy a TV, you may be better off locally. If you run into problems, service/repair/replacement are much easier animals to deal with when you can talk to the store manager.

A far as the Denon 3805 goes, you might consider looking at their website and finding their list of authorized dealers. If the dealer isn't authorized, they likely won't honor the warranty. Then you have a choice to make - buy it new or buy a refurb. ecost is an authorized Denon refurb etailer and the 3805 shows up for sale in cycles at pretty good prices.

Another source to use with Pricegrabber is this one , which does a good job for prices and reseller ratings.

totally agree with Ray3, make sure, at least for the Denon, that you go to Denons website and look at authorized dealers. Actually, I found the online Retailers on their site had about the same prices found locally in my town. The refurbished authorized dealers were much cheaper. If you have an American TV and Electronics near you, I waited until they had an employee discount weekend, they have these often. The Denon 2805 retails for like $900 and I got it for 20% off on employee day, not to shabby. Not sure what your room is like, but I prefer Front Projection over a large projection TV, the picture is better, size is bigger if you can accomodate a wall, and if something goes wrong, it is easier to send a 12lb unit off to service. My Sanyo Z2 has a 3 year warranty and it rocks...High Def at 120" is just tooooo cool...

Just wondering but what happens if you get a 3805 as a gift? Six months later it breaks...

You have no receipt. Would that mean no warantee service?

I've wondered about that on a number of products. Of course, since the company's goal is to spend less money...

A good "gifter" always hangs onto the receipts just in case.

I agree with the "good gifter" comment. I'm still trying to wrap my head around getting a 3805 as a gift. To me, that would be a GREAT gifter!! Also, with most stuff of this type, I think you'd register it with a mail in card included in the packaging or do it online. That's what they'll check for if service/exchange is required.

Jerry, if you are a member of costco they have the 3805(979.00) and 2805(799.00) online right now. I know they are not an authorized dealer but if you had any problems with the receiver Costco will take it back and give you a full refund. Just a thought.
