Because of circumstances, I am unable to help the tsunami victims in a monetary way at this time; however I would love to help by volunteering my time and energy (or skills).
After scouring the internet, and sending many e-mails, I have still not found anyone who can tell me how I can help.
I've already e-mailed USA Freedom Corps and the American Red Cross, but havent heard back from them.
If you know of an organization that could use an able body (with waaayy to much time on his hands) for this cause please let me know.

im sure even a 10 dollar donation would be appreciated-if 5 million people think that 10 bucks is useless.....-do the math

I sent $25 to the Red Cross Int'l Relif Fund last week. Not much, but all the not-muches added together are what count.

trust me, donations of $10 or $25 go a long way in that part of the world. $20 here seems like not much but to some people in Asia or India, they can live for a week if not more on $20. It's really sad to see the discrepancy.

Just wanted to update to you guys about the scene in India. my family back in India tells me that the supplies and money are in abundance, thnx to the contributions from all over the world. current problem is that of distribution and logistics! I am not sure of other countries though...

Have you ever been to India? I hear it's nearly impossible to get around that country without facing crazy traffic that involves cars, trucks, buses, animals, people walking, etc...

i go there every year...yea traffic is crazy in big cities, freeways are becoming better and wider! driving there is like the best xbox/ps game u will ever be in!

I know small donations add up, and I have donated some $$, just not as much as I wish I could. I'm looking for another way to help, like loading a truck or WHATEVER I'm able to do. I just havent found a good avenue to do that yet. Maybe there isnt one.?

I've heard that a lot of those charities are unwilling to take on new people due to the expense/time it would take for training. This may be why you are having trouble.

bray-if you would like to load a truck,im moving into a new house this week and youre welcome here-ill get the pizza and COLD(for big john)beer-friends seem to forget where you live when this happens-thats awesome that you are looking to help,just keep your eyes open and something will come up because this relief effort is far far from over help will be needed for quite a while

Then there are those friends who all of a sudden become your best friend when they remember you own a truck.

oh yeah thats why i have not bought a pickup yet. also 2 years ago when i bought my dodge durango the salesman asked if i wanted a trailer hitch i said no. i just imagined my brother and whoever else wanting to borrow my truck to put there boat, jet skis in the water haul trash etc.

i own a full size pick up truck and a 14'box truck -every body thinks its a free u-haul...... ...maybe axiom could auction off a pair of 22s and donate the winning bid to the red cross.tax savings?..just an idea,i hope this doesnt make anyone at axiom mad for sugesting that

I was on Amazon a couple of days ago to order the Avia disc. They had a donation link on their main page for the Red Cross. I couldn't help but give as much to the RC as I spent on the disc, plus an additional $10.
