Sonos Digital Music System

You can have up to 32 nodes in this system, each playing either the same or different songs. It's Linux-based, but works with either Macs or PCs. Also includes a wireless controller that can control all your nodes from anywhere in the house.

AND -- there's more -- you can either directly connect speakers to each node, or use the audio out function to feed an input on your existing receiver. Sweet!

That looks cool.
After reading about some of the products comeing out this year, I think we'll all be kissing our CDs/DVDs and their players goodbye very soon.
Of course, it also means SACDs and DVDAs are history.

Don't get your hopes up just yet. It'll take a few years for products like this to come down in price enough to influence the masses. Right now, a sytem with one controller and two units is over $1000.

I'm not sure my hopes were ever up.
I dont mind change, just give it to me a little at a time.
