These types of questions are so loaded, 50 guys will give 50 different answers. You can’t really expect an objective answer when you come into an axiom message board and ask questions about axiom vs. brand x, naturally almost everyone here will chime in about how the axioms are better, ITS AN AXIOM BOARD.

Me personally I prefer the paradigm sound. I actually ordered a pair of Monitor 11’s which will be here in about 2 weeks. I do like my M60 very much but after auditioning the monitor 11’s I find their sound a better match for my ears.

Audition everything you can and let your ears decide.

Actually, I think you'l find that this board is exceptionally objective. Certainly folks will tout the Axioms, but in a general manner, expressing opoinion and offering suggestions for other types of speakers. There is also a large number of posts that deal with detailed comparisons. Finally, almost EVERY post regarding Axioms includes a suggestion that the audio piece is subjective and the only way to tell is to listen and compare - then make the choice that you feel good about.

There have only been a handful of "absolute" dictums about the speakers on this board and they have generally been corrected quickly with more balanced input. I might add that your statement above about the Paradigms is one of the strongest statements along those lines I have seen.

There is an enormous number of speakers that people prefer other than Axioms and God bless the folks that have chosen them and are enjoying them. If there is a consistent current in this board it is support to help make a decision, based on the questions asked, for something that will assist a personal chioice. It's all about what works for that person.

I am offended by your assertions and take exception to your tone. Perhaps you would be happier on a Paradigm forum.

I don't like it. I think your tone is way out of line! You NEED to re-think what you are saying! It's all opinion here. Keep that in mind before you go shooting your mouth off!

Youve insulted some fine and intelligent members of this forum and I'm not going to try and talk reason to someone so unreasonable.

Well Samsdad, I do apologize for the disagreement, but Jeff GeneticDrift has stepped over the line of acceptable forum behavior. He has presented his opinions as if they were fact, and then insulted those who posted opinions contrary to his, rather than let the statements stand on their own merit. On top of that he has personally insulted some of the nicest, even-handed, fair, and reasonable members on this forum.

No one here minds at all if he prefers Paradigm. We have several members who own, and prefer, other brands of speakers. The difference is that they do not become arrogant and insulting when faced with those who disagree with them. We strongly object to that. His credibility is now null and void on this forum.

The one thing he's said that has value, is that this is a decision only you can make. Keep in mind that speaker preference is a totally subjective decision. One man's ceiling is another man's floor. This is why we are happy to have, and encourage participation by, members who have other brands. All we ask is that they present their opinions as just that, opinions. And, we ask them to be respectful of those who hold opposing opinions. Unfortunately, Jeff doesn't get it.
