What Axiom Bookshelf speakers will complement my Mti 60's nicely for 2 channel stereo?
This will be with the Nad C352 amp, and Im thinking as of now I am not going to add a Sub

Not sure I understand your goal.

Do you already have M60's? If so, why not use them for 2 channel?

If you like the M60 sound, the M22ti is the closest you'll get in a bookshelf speaker. Though without a sub, you'll miss the low end the M60's can give you.

In addition to what Spiff noted the M2's are said to have a similar sound but less base than even the M22's. I can't verify as I own the M22's and have never heard the M2's. That said I love my M22's and I think sound pretty good with out a sub but great with one. Very clear and detailed as they say. Just not much low end punch but enough you know that there is some.

Tough call. M2s and M22s are the closest in sound to your M60s but M3s may be more satisfying without a sub.

Is this going to be your primary music system or more of a bedroom/den system ? If the former, I would think about using your M60s for music as already suggested. For a bedroom/den system I would think about M3s -- the sound is slightly different but many think the sound is actually superior for an "easy listening" kind of application.

Where are your M60's now? Is it part of a 5.1 system? Will the new bookshelves be in the same room?

Are you saying using both pairs as front at the same time?
How about getting a set of m80s and sell the m60s?

I remember a long time ago a friend of mine had pair of bose 901 side by side with a pair of floor-standing speakers (cant seem to remember the brand, most likely Polk or B&W); it was loud alright,though not sure I’ll call that an ‘improvement’

I have the 60's now for Music only, and I just want to add a set of bookshelfs to it, they are in the same room and are not being used for HT.
Just a four speaker system that will be hooked to a Nad C352 Integrated Amp, I havent decided if I will go with a Sub yet.

OK...got it now. Not sure if it'll improve the sound at all, but if you want some bookshelves that'll match the tone of the M60's, the M2i and M22ti are your best bet.

Mark, I did that exact same thing, only for a temporary curiousity. I knew I was going to a bigger room, so I bought the 60's just before the price increase. Knowing I would use the 22's as rears (in the new future room) for better SACD music play. I placed them on-top, and off to the sides. You will gain some volume just from the increased drivers, but this would NOT be what you would want in 2 channel format. It didn't sound terrible, just not blended. The intergration of the speaker design, as far as crossover, blending, etc. will not match from a tonal standpoint, you are going aganist the "design" of the speaker, regardless of which one you use - use only one matched set of fronts. If you already have the 60's then the decession is already made. BTW, I know have the 22's as rears and the QS-8s as side surrounds, about 1-1/2 ft. in front of the listening position, running 7.1 I was dissappointed at first with 7.1, but after alot I mean ALOT of tweaking and changes, I LOVE it now. Just hard to find the right mix, but when you do, the direct rears, and side surronds give you the best of both worlds.
