For the last week or so I've been geting a security alert message every time I try to log on to Axiom's site.Is this something I should be concerned about? Has anyone else had this problem?

do you use norton internet security?

Frank, that security alert is actually warning us that you are coming!

With my Norton it needs to disabled before I post.

I think that the real question would be, "What does the security alert say?" Gotta know that before we move any farther.

Yep, it would be helpful to know the content or show us a screenshot of the message. I'm on Walmart Connect, and for the last few weeks I was getting pop up windows. Since I use Zonealarm firewall, and Spybot, I was puzzled as to their origin. The title bar was labeled "Messenger Service" and the messages varied from spyware notifications to porn crap. Messenger Service is a normal Service that runs in 2000 Computer Managment, however it is normally used for network functions (for ex. the "net send" command". Anyway, since this is my home computer, I just disabled the service and am good to go...I still get Script debugging errors from time to time on Axioms website.

Anyway, hope we can help once you provice some more info...

Here is the message we receive: Info you exchane with this site cannot be viewed or changed by others. However, there is a problem with the sites security certificate.

Security Certificate was issued by a company you have not chosen to trust.. View certificate to determine whether you want to trust the certifying authority.

We have followed their instructions to put it in a trusted store; it was successful ; however we still are receiving message every time we go to a new page. We do not use Norton

Is there a check box in the message, to remember your selection of Yes or No to the message. Many certificates have a check box that asks you if you want to always trust this particular certificate.. If there is one, and you check it, and click Yes, you should not see the message again. Not sure if that is what is going on, but it sounds like it...

You're not connecting as https:// are you? I wasn't aware that certificates could be used with http:// connections. Anyone? Or is this a security "feature" of SP2?

I am having a similar problem, but not when viewing anything on this site. I can “view” anything on the net.

My problem is when I am trying to download anything off the internet (any type of file, i.e. New drivers for my Vid card or a ".pdf" file with specifications on my TV.) I get the following message......” You might not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied.””

I am fairly certain this started either when I patched SP2 or installed a new Firewall (I did both on the same day.) But even if I disable the firewall I still cant download any files. Anyone know how to fix this?

Sounds like SP2 to me... Unfortunately, my only thought is to reset Internet Explorer's settings under (I think) the advanced tab and give that a shot. If I'm wrong, though, you'll have hosed your settings for no good reason...

Ken, I agree. This sounds like one of the security settings in the browser.

Thanks guys for your replys.I think I'm dealing with some spam or a virus.I think I'll have to get some help from a local computer expert.It's a real pain in the butt.
