I need two more speakers for the rear of my theater.

Current setup:

Axiom M80's up front
Axiom VP150 center
Axiom QS8's on the side
Axiom EP-350 sub

I'm pretty positive I want the rears in my final setup to be direct. I'm expecting a best of both worlds scenario and this setup will also be doing DVD-A work though to a far lesser degree. If anyone wants to try and talk me into another set of QS8's for the rear, feel free, but it's not what I'm planning on.

My only real point of indecision is whether or not there is any value in using M22's instead of M2's for the rear speaker. The M3's apparently are a bit less acurate and their cone's don't match up with the rest of my system as well.

Any last minute words of advice?

Regards,
Semi

Save the money, Joshua, go with the M2s. Above the lower bass(which the EP350 will handle)they're nearly identical to the M22s and the smaller size might help a bit.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

Ah come on Semi.
With the full blown setup like that already in house, how can you stop at anything short of the M22?
Sure the M2s are cheaper but come on now....Go for the gold !!

I say get M80's all the way around Semi...you only live once Seriously, good choice, I'm definitely leading that way myself. Although with M2's all the way around with a 6.1 setup possibly. I don't think you could get a better soundstage than with direct radiating speakers. Go QS8's if it's all HT, but that little less dispersion is liveable in my opinion for better audio playback.

Semi On,

I'm with chess.. people like us, we always want the best equipment, the best speakers, the best everything. Don't go M2i when you can go M22Ti for barely more money. It's worth waiting till the next paycheck or putting your credit card figure a bit higher.

As DanTana said, unless you believe in reincarnation, you only live once. What's an extra 150$ or so in your entire lifetime? M22Ti's (or M60's!!!) all the way... and a second EP350!!
