Looks awesome! How did you do the wiring to the QS8s and the sub? Were you prewired? If not what did you do?

Thanks!
Rich

When the house was built in 2000, I did pay to have the rear channel and sub pre-wired, only because with the houses here in the bay area being a lotery system, I could not do it myslef. I had specified 12ga wire to be used. What I ended up with was 22ga. With the solarium addition, and a complete replacement of the heat/ac system, I needed to add two supply lines to the solarium. In November, I replaced the small cheap fireplace that was included with the house price with a full size Lennox gas unit. So when I purchased the Axiom system, I was able to remove the temp drywall around the fireplace, remove a few recessed can lights, and one of the register solarium supply ducts. This allowed me to pull the four 12ga speaker wires to the QS8's and the rear M80's in the solarium. After two days of work and a lot of bitching about contractors, I now have the wire runs completed and out of sight mostly. Still need to conceal a 30" section of wire for each QS8, but once finished, the wires for the QS8's and the rear M80's will not be noticable. The wiring for the sub is good enough for now, still playing with its location and if that changes, I will have to re-wire that, one reason I have not finished the drywall around the firplace, waiting till I have the sound system finished....if I live long enough. lol

WOW Dennis! I just can't imagine how good that must sound. A very nice job.

The backyard is still in need of landscaping, because of the 7 week solarium addition taking almost 3 years to complete, and then my 10' x 12' workshop I built, and a few other projects, the backyard had to wait. The BBQ island was delivered in November and I neeed to build a temp deck for it to rest on till the yard is ready. With the Tracy soil, its basically impossible to do anything in the yard during the raining months, so every spring I remove the weeds from winter. Because of the Axiom project, seems the weeds have been ignored. <g> I will be posting an invitation to a BBQ/HT audition in March/April for any Axiom owners in the bay area, or those who can fly to CA, by that time it will be in the high 70's so would be warm for eastern folks. <g> I can provide shuttle service from airports, but sorry, you are on your own for the airline tickets. lol

Cool Dennis! My sister lives in Pleasanton, and her husband's father is in Tracy. Unfortunately, I am the sole caregiver for my 92 year old Mom, and cannot get away, or I'd try to be at your BBQ/HT audition. But, it sounds like a real good time.

No explanations needed about the construction projects. I've never seen one go smoothly, or come in on time, in my entire life.

I was really skeptical at first, but I think because your room is so gigantic, it actually works... that would be so weird in a small room though

Really appreciate all of the positive reinforcement. ;-) Have had a lot of criticism both pos/neg from neighbors, after seeing FedEX showing up so often with big boxes, all had to visit and see what was going on. As with other projects, most were very impressed with the Axiom/Outlaw system, till they asked the cost, then of course, its the normal "I would never invest that much". But of course, they are all waiting to be invited over for movies. lol As for having any doubts about having five of the M80's, I was sure I had the space to handle them, but with Axiom 30 day trial, it was a no brainer to give it a try, and at this point, I'm very pleased with the sound, only problem is getting any work accomplished now. Back to the cabinet project and will post pictures once its in place.

Beautiful system, and home!

When the invite is issued, I will definitely check my calendar!

One question: With all the reflective surfaces, have you noticed any issues?
