The M80 which is replacing the VP150 arrived today, I took a few quick pictures (not the best quality) to help clear up the thought that I was going to wall mount the M80.

VP150 as it has been for several weeks:

Front channel speakers:

M80 as the center channel:

Rear M80's

One of the QS8's, second is directly opposite of this one:

And the EP600:

The new cabinet as it is today, this will replace the exisiting one, and the M80 will be in the center on a slide out shelf.

So there is the current set up, hope to have the new cabinet finished and in place with in the next week.
But tomorrow I need to take the VP150 down, box it up and ship it off, then back to work on the cabinet.

Several reasons for the new cabinet besides the M80 blocking the remote sigal. One is that I need more clearance between the Outlaw 950/770, having a heat issue at high volumes (-10db and below). Also when ever I need to get to the cabling, moving the 100 pound 770 is a pain. The new cabinet will be on casters, allowing easier access when needed, should have thought off this on the first build. Any thoughts will be appreciated. ;-)

It looks great! Thanks for sharing your project.
Also, let us know how the M80 sounds as a center.

Dennis, your setup looks ideal. I assume that you'll slide the M80 center out so that diffraction from the surrounding cabinet surfaces will be minimized.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

What a great setup. The really frightening thing is that the M80s look to be just the right size.

Now if you could just take a picture of how the system SOUNDS we would all be really happy

Well I used one of the M80 rears as a center over the weekend and played with location. To my ear I could not hear any noticable differance with it 2 feet from the existing cabinet or if it was less than a foot from it. So the plan is to go with the sliding shelf, and this will allow me to slide it out as much as a foot if need be. Hopefully I will not need to re-engineer the cabinet again. lol

That is a pretty nice system you have got setup there. With a few thousand watts give or take id be willing to bet your ready to party! And the best part is that everyone in a 60 mile radius can join in. Im guessing that system is especially impressive with 5.1 music.

John (Bridgeman) blew this one!
John, the guy's got 5 M80s all the way around, driven by Outlaw stuff and an EP600 sub. In the photos, I see a hot tub in a sunroom, and outside in the yard (which looks to need mowing by the way!) I see a grill and what looks to be an outdoor bar.
John somehow forgot the longstanding tradition of inviting over the entire Axiom forum for a, ummmm, listening party. For that, John has to help with the invitations, the Thank You cards afterwards, and do some yard work before the guests arrive!

Very nice setup by the way!

Busted !!

Sorry, guys. Guess I was being selfish. I saw the grass in the back yard and figured that he must be WAAAY out of driving distance.

We had another nice little snowstorm last night, all you can hear outside this morning is shovelling and coughing.

OK, Party at John's place !!
