You don't have any walls or floor space for stands?
Just a ceiling?

I have my HT in my basement, and where my surrounds are now is one is hanging on a pole and the other is on a partial wall. right behind the seating area is walking space. As there is no walls or wall space on the sides.
the ceiling above the seating area is only about 6'. So if i put the surrounds up and behind the seating area people will walk into them(ouch) so that is why i ask if the QS4's could be mounted up or if anyone knows of a good ceiling mount speaker, that would compliment Axiom. thanks.

That's an interesting situation alrighty.
I would either send this query to Alan to see what he thinks or give Joe a call at customer service and discuss the ceiling mounting idea.
You don't have any room to put the surrounds on stands immediately behind the couch? It's that tight?

Flat against a ceiling doesn't have to be necessary. The layout of my living room is almost as screwy as yours, and even wall-mounting wasn't an option. The mounting brackets on the QS4s are peculiar to say the least, but I picked up four Vantage speaker mounts and installed them in the ceiling with a minimum of difficulty. No major surgery required. You'll figure it out - just a apply a little creative problem solving and you've got it. I've got mine angled down about 45 degrees with a smidgen of toe-in and the sound great. Good luck!

...Oops. I just read the part where your guests might require surgery if the speakers are mounted as I described. Nevermind...

If head room is not a problem you can mount them to the ceiling fairly easily and it won't be to expensive. Get a couple of pieces of wood that you can mount the speaker wall brackets to (the ones Axiom supplies). For speaker mounts, omni type if you wish, go to any alarm supply store, they have a variety of mounts used to install security cameras. They are good quality and you can save yourself about 15-20 bucks and you get basically the same thing. The mounting screw for these and most all speaker mounts is a 1/4 20 male thread pattern. Any hardware store sells a 1/4 20 female inserts that you can screw right into the wood peices that your going to attach your QS4/QS8 wall mounting brackets on. You can thread them right into your speaker mounts and your good to go. I hope I didn't butcher that explanation to badly. Good luck whatever you decide to do.
