 Putting more polyfill in my M22's and VP150?

Was wondering if doing this could improve the sound or would it do more harm than good? I'm curious because I recently listened to an older VP150se that had a lot less polyfill in it than my current 150 (newer production date) and it sounded very different and hollow compared to my newer one...so maybe putting as much fill in a cabinet as possible will improve the sound? Is there a limit to how much fill should be put into a cabinet where by stuffing too much decreases sound quality?

Ian has years of experience and a very good education that helps him determine how much fill to put in there. They experiment to find the perfect amount. To much and the sound will be muffled. Too little and it will be hollow.
Think you can do better?

No I certainly dont think I'm more knowledgeable than Ian in the speaker field, but the 150se that's older than mine has a lot less fill than my most recent one and sounds a lot worse(hollow). So if Ian knows exactly how much too put in it, why wouldn't he have put more fill in the older 150's? Unless of course it was just a factory mistake and somebody got careless... Since there wasn't nearly enough in the older one I started to question axiom's decision on how much to put in it, that's all

Why don't you experiment with putting more in, maybe use some that's colored so you can remove it easy, and hear for yourself? Can't do much harm and only take a little time and sure wouldn't cost that much for some fiberfil.

Well I fluffed up and rearranged the fill in my 150 and added some more of my own, about 25% more, it sounds clearer and more open to me, without being muddy at all. I didn't "screw with the m22" since I love how they sound. I"m not satisfied with how the 150 sounds so I experimented and now I'm more satisfied, it sounds closer to my 22's now.
