Looking at system purchase and would like to have other speaker comparisons of somewhat equal quality and price.

hi winterpeg,
i'll take a shot-in-the-dark here and guess that you are from Winnipeg, correct? If so, there is a regular board member here by the name of chesseroo that is listed in the audition thread. I'm sure he'd be willing to offer you a listen and you can see for yourself. Speaker preference is very subjective and everyone's ears are different. The best thing you can do is to audition as many different brands/types of speakers as possible. This will give you a good frame of reference when you have an opportunity to listen to some Axioms.

Also additional info would help us help you - listening habits, typical listening volumes, room size, etc.

Although the price is more, I think, as do others on this board, that the B&W 703s sound very similar to the M60s.
Other than that the advice given above is very good.
As far as the QS8s go, I dont think you'll here any surround speaker that compares. They are that good.

The VP150 is a great center, the Qs8's are second to none for surrounds, M80's are great if your receiver can handle a 4ohm speaker, otherwise the M60's rock. The 350 is my first sub, so I can't speak much on this topic, however, many do go with HSU or SVS as they tend to be a bit cheaper for a heck of a great product.

Indeed i am in Winnipeg, as is Bren although a guy with a day job, night job and i'm not sure how many other jobs, he can be shifty. {j/k}

There are not a whole lot of other companies out there with the same quality and price performance as Axiom. I think a ton of ppl here can attest to the length of time spent searching for alternatives. Maybe Athena, maybe Rockets, maybe some Paradigms, but Axiom is certainly a good buy.

I am available to provide auditions if someone would like to hear our setup. Just send me a private message (PM).

Bren, if you ever have the desire to hear some M60s, they await your charming presence.
