Actually, I was just using a cheap Memorex DVD player I picked up for $25 new from Sears at Christmas. It was progressive scan, but until I got my projector Thursday, I had nothing that took the progressive input from it. It was fairly bare bones, but did the main things like DTS.

In my old home theater that we left with our house we sold a few years back, I was using a Pioneer 525 or something like that. I love all of the options on the Panasonic, but I can easily see how this will take a little time to tweak right because a lot of the options on the Panasonic are also options on teh Sanyo Z3, so finding the best combo may be tricky.

Oh, and yes, I like it! I watched xXx (you know, "Triple X" with Vin Diesel) today. Not the most stellar movie in the world, but it was fun to watch. The best thing was that I didn't notice where it switched to the 2nd layer. I played it in my cheap-o $25 player, and sure enough, there was a noticable pause in the movie, so that is great in itself. Not sure if every movie will be "pause free" but it should be minimized with the S97 from what I've seen.

Thnx i think that will def be my next upgrade im just not sure when.
