It's amazing what some people accomplish in only 32 years, isn't it?

Happy Birthday!

32? Now that's enough to make an old man weep.

The happiest of birthdays, Amie. Your presence and your posts make this a brighter place.

The rumour is she's only 24.
I'm not kidding. It's a real rumour.

May each year bring you all the happiness you desire and deserve.

Best wishes on your birthday.

BTW: I wanted to use the "Hippo, Birdie, Two Ewes..." but Tom beat me to it.

Hehe. I have friends who don't have birthday parties so much as anniversary's of said days.
One friend is on the 10th anniversary of his 25th birthday.

Happy birthday, Amie!

You're only as old as you think you are. Or is it--you're only as old as we think you are.

Hmm, I think either way you're safe.

Amie, for Bren to break into song it must be true, so the happiest of birthdays and many more to come. I must say that from your picture I would have guessed closer to 22 than 32.

Happy birthday, Amie. Amie was born on Earth Day? Wouldn't that make her our Earth Mother?

Everyone here is the sweetest - except whoever started the rumour that I'm 32! It was actually the 20th anniversary of my 11th birthday . . . But please, don't bring this up at the picnic with Ian! Tee hee!

Ah, my 11th birthday. The year the banana bike went and I got a real 10 speed, and yes, a Technics stereo with two really big speakers that you could move away from the main unit!!

Thanks to all!

Oh boy!! another trip down memory lane!!!(always fun!)

Let's see-on my eleventh,as I recall-I got a 24in. Rollfast single speed, and a Daisy Red Rider B-B gun!(or was the Rollfast for Christmas?)

I did have a dandy RCA 45 player with a Silvertone tube powered amp and speaker in one unit, like a guitar amp.

Now that hurts-it really does, how did you know I've only got one eye?!

Actually, I do only have one eye, but it wasen't a B-B, it was a snowball with a piece of glass in it-I was five years old at the time, kinda traumatic indeed! Had to shoot the B-B gun with the wrong eye-no problem with a B-B gun, but a real problem with an actual rifle, as looking with the left eye while shooting right-handedly puts your right wrist right against your nose; guess where the force of the kick goes?

But I did live dangerously in those days though: I sometimes ran with sissors, I had a total of three B-B guns, and I watched the "Three Stooges" every chance I got!!

Rich.

I meant no offense. I didn't know you had only one eye. The "Did you shoot your eye out"? line was a reference to a classic Christmas movie called "A Christmas Story."

"In 1940's Indiana, Ralphie (Peter Billingsley) dreams of the ideal Christmas gift, a genuine Red Ryder 200-Shot Carbine Action Air Rifle. But gruff dad (Darren McGavin) and doting mom (Melinda Dillon) quote the usual saying, "You'll shoot your eye out!"

Hi, Jack;

No offence taken-how could you know?(Actually I mentioned it myself on another thread just a couple of minutes later cause it just happened to fit there too!) Been like this for well over half a century-used to it by now!

I wonder what kids were told by their Moms' during the bow and arrow age?

It's an advantage though-speaker testing is only "Blind and a half"

Rich.
